Dr. D.C. Agarwal
Engineering-mathematics author for over 25 years · Former Professor & Head of Department, Harpur College
Dr. D.C. Agarwal is a veteran author of engineering mathematics whose textbooks have guided B.Tech students for more than 25 years. A former Professor and Head of Department at Harpur College, he has spent over two decades writing and refining mathematics textbooks for engineering undergraduates — work that has made his Engineering Mathematics series one of the best-selling and most widely-used mathematics textbooks at Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal, and across Madhya Pradesh’s engineering colleges.
His books are written strictly to the AICTE Flexible Curriculum and the RGPV syllabus, and are known for their large banks of solved examples and previous-year university questions — the reason exam questions at RGPV are so often drawn straight from their worked problems. Beyond the core Engineering Mathematics I–III, Dr. Agarwal — with co-author Dr. Pradeep K. Joshi — has extended the series into the mathematics of the modern computing curriculum: probability and statistics for data science, discrete structures and linear algebra, and statistical mathematics for MCA, keeping pace with the AI and data-science subjects now central to engineering education.
