Full syllabus — Section 1
- Functions of two or more variables; continuity; directional, partial and total derivatives; Taylor’s theorem
- Maxima and minima; saddle points; method of Lagrange multipliers
- Double and triple integrals; Jacobians and change of variables; applications to area, volume and surface area
- Vector calculus: gradient, divergence and curl; line and surface integrals; Green’s, Stokes’ and Gauss divergence theorems
